Creating and Maintaining TAMSFem

TAMSFem began in Fall 2016 when I was inspired by my Women and Gender Studies class to start an activist project of my own. Knowing that there is a disparity of women in STEM and some obvious misconceptions about feminism in our TAMS community, Xie Hill and I decided to start TAMSFem as TAMS’s first intersectional feminism club. The response from the TAMS community has been wonderful, as many students of all gender identifications and interests have volunteered with Girls in STEM volunteering this semester at Newton Razor Elementary through TAMSFem, and as a group, we have been able to make an incredible impact on our TAMS and local communities. We are excited to pass the club along to our juniors and see what an amazing impact they can make on the TAMS community next year!
